On Friday 4 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Yahya Ngam, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, at which the Governor-General launched the 25th National Child Protection Week.

On Thursday 3 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal executive Council.

Afterwards, at the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chairman, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), attended a Ceremony to commemorate Australian National Flag Day.

On Wednesday 2 September 2015, at Government House, Adelaide, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove met with the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AO and Mrs Lan Le.

Afterwards, at Western Adelaide Domestic Violence Service, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Executive Director, Central Domestic Violence Services, Ms Maria Hagias met with staff, clients and supporters.
