At the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales to Australia, before attending a wreath laying ceremony with Prince Harry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
On Thursday 2 April 2015, at the Russell Offices Precinct, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Tim Barrett AO CSC RAN, attended a service to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the loss of Sea King Helicopter ‘Shark 02’.
Afterwards, at Government House, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, and the Governor-General, hosted an afternoon tea for members, supporters and sponsors of L'Arche Genesaret.
At the end of a State Visit to the People’s Republic of China, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were farewelled by Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials at Beijing Capital International Airport.
