On Thursday 20 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea to launch Group Training Australia’s 2015 program.

In the evening, at the United Service Club Queensland, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Brigadier Ray McNab CSC RFD (Retd), attended a dinner held in the their honour.

On Wednesday 19 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr George Kanyamula Zulu, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Zambia. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Morgan Mwesa (First Secretary), Mr Alick Banda (First Secretary) and Mr Godfrey Mulungushi (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Alice Zulu.

At Government House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for the Northern Mallee and Loddon Murray Community Leadership Groups.

On Tuesday 18 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Dr Hassan Hanafy Mahmoud El-Laithy.

Then, the Governor-General received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mr Nasir Ahmad Andisha and Mrs Jyotsna Hamida Andisha.

At the Australian Vietnam Forces National Memorial, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Vice-President, Vietnam Veterans’ Association of Australia ACT Branch, Mr Pete Ryan, attended the Vietnam Veterans’ Day Remembrance Service, at which the Governor-General delivered a bible reading and with Lady Cosgrove, laid a wreath.

At Government House, the Governor-General received the Speaker of the Parliament (Shura Council) of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr Abdullah M. I. Al Sheikh and his accompanying delegation.

On Monday 17 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove hosted a farewell lunch for the Head of Capability Systems Division, Department of Defence, Lieutenant General John Caligari AO DSC.

On Sunday 16 August 2015, at Allphones Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chair, Netball World Cup Sydney Local Organising Committee, Ms Noeleen Dix attended the Netball World Cup Final at which the Governor-General presented the Gold Medals and World Cup to the Australian Diamonds.

At Sydney Olympic Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the Netball World Cup Final at which the Governor-General presented the Gold Medals and World Cup to the Australian Diamonds.

On Saturday 15 August 2015, in Sandakan, Malaysia, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended the Sandakan Day Memorial Service, at which Their Excellencies laid a wreath and the Governor-General delivered the commemorative address.

Afterwards, at Sandakan Airport, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a farewell ceremony.
