On Thursday 9 October 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Mr Pedro Monzon Barata.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a Small Dining Room dinner. Guests included: Mr Brian Hewitt and Mrs Ann Hewitt; Mr Ross Sydney and Mrs Lynne Sydney; and Brigadier William Rolfe AO (Retd) and Mrs Joan Rolfe.

On Tuesday 7 October 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received former Governor-General, Major General the Honourable Michael Jeffery AC AO (Mil) CVO MC (Retd).

Afterwards, the Governor-General received former Vice-Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Satish Govind Inamdar (Retd), Mr Patrick Earle and Mr Peter Brown.

At Government House, Yarralumla, ACT, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove welcomed visitors to the house and gardens during an Open House at the property.

On Sunday 5 October 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, met with members of the public at the Government House Open Day.

Afterwards, at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Smith, attended the 2014 National Rugby League Grand Final.

At Gungahlin Oval, Canberra, ACT, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the 80th Australian Air League Review, at which the Governor-General inspected the parade and together with Lady Cosgrove presented Field and March Awards to Australian Air League cadets.

On Saturday 4 October 2014, at Gungahlin Oval, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Reviewing Officer, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Commissioner, Mr Ian Rickards, attended the 80th Anniversary of the Australian Air League.

On Friday 3 October 2014, in Wagga Wagga, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Executive Director of the Wagga Wagga Central Council of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Mr Mike Riley, and Mr Des Goonan, visited Micah House and met with staff and clients.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Services Manager, Mr Peter Quarmby, met with staff and clients at St Vincent de Paul’s Edel Quinn House.

At the Wagga Wagga Showgrounds, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the Wagga Show Society Inc, Mr Brett Grant, visited the 150th Wagga Wagga Show, which was officially opened by the Governor-General.

At Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga campus, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Vann, visited the Faculty of Science and met with staff and students.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General swore-in Australian Federal Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin APM OAM.
