Federal Executive Council; Credentials

On Monday 17 February 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Abd Al-Rahim Al-Siddig Mohamed Omar, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan.

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Egidijus Meilunas, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania.

Arrival in Australia of the Head of State of the Republic of the Fiji Islands

On Friday 14 February 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Head of State of the Republic of the Fiji Islands, His Excellency Brigadier-General Ratu Epeli Nailatikau (Retd), by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Lunch with the Governor of NSW; Music Evening

On Tuesday 11 February 2014, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, hosted a lunch for the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Professor Elizabeth Elliott AM, Ms Janet McCredie AM, Ms Bronwyn Bancroft and Ms Jan Bowen.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a Music Evening with a performance of ‘Schubert’s Trout Quintet’.

Farewell call

On Friday 7 February 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received a farewell call from the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Hoang Vinh Thanh.
