On Friday 30 May 2014, at the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Rachelle Towart, and in recognition of National Reconciliation Week, attended a morning tea with staff and alumni. Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with community members participating in the Reconciliation Planting Day activities.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received Ms Tara Liddy, National Indigenous Youth Parliament 2014 Indigenous Youth Governor-General.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the 2014 National Indigenous Youth Parliament.

On Thursday 29 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Secretary, Department of Immigration and Border Protection, Mr Martin Bowles PSM.

Later, the Governor-General received the Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ms Gillian Bird PSM, and the Assistant Secretary, New Colombo Plan Secretariat, Ms Kate Duff.

On Wednesday 28 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Race Discrimination Commissioner, Dr Tim Soutphommassane.

In the evening, at the National Arboretum, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Professor Suzanne Cory AC, attended the Australian Academy of Science’s Annual Dinner.

On Tuesday 27 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a farewell lunch in honour of Lieutenant Sally Malone ADC RAN. Guests included: Mrs Anne Malone; Mr John Malone; Lieutenant Gabrielle Humphris; and Flight Lieutenant Mark Nolan.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Alf Turner, Mr Abe Schwarz and Ms Barbara Miller.

At the Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services ACT, in Civic, Canberra, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron of the organisation, visited staff and clients.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General met with Mr Alf Turner (Uncle Boydie), Mr Abe Schwarz and Ms Barbara Miller, to receive an Indigenous rights petition, initiatied by Uncle Boydie's grandfather Uncle William Cooper in 1934.

On Monday 26 May 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Governor-General of Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Sunday 25 May 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Baron Divavesi Waqa MP and Madam Louisa Waqa, by Brigadier Gregory Bilton CSC ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
