On Saturday 27 June 2009 at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, hosted to lunch the Director of St James Ethics Centre, Dr Simon Longstaff.

Later, at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Patron of Australian Rugby Union, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended the Australian Rugby Union match, Australia versus France.

On Friday 26 June 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Right Honourable Sir Zelman Cowen AK GCMG GCVO QC, 19th Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Lady Anna Cowen, who remained for lunch.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a ceremony at which Sir Zelman Cowen officially opened the Zelman Cowen Room. In the evening, at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended Daniel Harding Conducts.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Ceremonial Arrival of the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Spain, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sof?¥a. Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the King and Queen of Spain. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a State Dinner in honour of the King and Queen of Spain.

On Tuesday 23 June 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Mr Noel Campbell.
