In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Director of the National Gallery of Australia, Mr Ronald Radford AM.

On Tuesday 2 June 2009, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Vice-Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology, Professor Peter Coaldrake.

On Monday 1 June 2009, in Pyrmont, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE visited Google Australia at which the Governor-General officially opened Google's new Sydney office premises.

On Sunday 31 May 2009, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Annual Commemoration Day for Bomber Command, at which the Governor-General delivered the keynote address and laid a wreath.

Later, at Government House, Canberra, Mr Bryce received Ms Therese Rein.

On Friday 29 May 2009, at Russell, ACT, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron of Palliative Care Australia, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, in recognition of Palliative Care Week, visited Clare Holland House.

On Thursday 28 May 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Ahmed Abdulla Ahmed Al-Mohannadi, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the State of Qatar.

On Wednesday 27 May 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received a farewell call by the Ambassador of the State of Eritrea, His Excellency Dr Andeab Ghebremeskel.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron of Palliative Care Australia, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a reception in recognition of National Palliative Care Week. Earlier, Mr Bryce, as Patron, visited the Woden Senior Citizens Centre.

On Tuesday 26 May 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended a ceremony to issue the Oath of Office to the newly appointed President of Fair Work Australia, the Honourable Justice Geoffrey Michael Giudice.
