On Tuesday 13 March 2018, at Chennai International Airport, New Delhi, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove were welcomed to Chennai by the Consul-General to Chennai, Ms Susan Grace.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the High Commissioner to the Republic of India, Her Excellency Ms Harinder Sidhu, attended a lunch with South Indian captains of industry.

On Monday 12 March 2018, at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the High Commissioner to the Republic of India, Her Excellency Harinder Sidu, met with Australian-based and locally engaged staff.

On Sunday 11 March 2018, at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, New Delhi, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director General, His Excellency Mr Upendra Tripathy, attended the founding ceremony of the International Solar Alliance.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of the Honourable Mr Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, attended a lunch for dignitaries and representatives of countries attending the summit.

On Saturday 10 March 2018, at RAAF base Darwin, the Governor-General His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove met with the Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AM and Mr Craig O’Halloran.

On Friday 9 March 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Senator for South Australia, Senator the Honourable Penny Wong, attended the International Women’s Day 2018 breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

On Thursday 8 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), hosted an afternoon tea for Zoo2Zoo riders completing the Melbourne to Canberra leg.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, the Right Honourable Martine Haese, attended a reception in recognition of International Women’s Day 2018 at Adelaide Town Hall.

On Wednesday 7 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Assistant Director, International Energy Engagement, Ms Helen Hawke and the Assistant Secretary, Energy International Implementation Branch, Mr Shane Gaddes.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Manager, Global Energy Training Solutions, Mr Ben Murphy visited the Mount Majura Solar Farm.

On Tuesday 6 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Prime Minster of Australia, the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull MP.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Director-General, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, Major General Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC (Retd).

Afterwards, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, and the Governor-General hosted a reception for Karinya House staff and supporters.

On Monday 5 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), issued the Instruments of Appointment of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective offices.
