Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr Bryce Hutchesson.

On Wednesday 24 May 2017, at Abacus Child Care and Education Centre, Canberra, Lady Cosgrove participated in the 2017 National Simultaneous Storytime.

Afterwards, at Government House Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), attended an Indonesian Australian Alumni Association (IKAHAN) lunch.

In the evening, at Albert Hall, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, His Excellency Mr Nabil Lakhal, attended the 2017 Africa Day reception.

On Tuesday 23 May 2017, at the Inspire Centre, University of Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove met with staff and participants of the Australian Defence Force Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills Program.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Morocco, Ms Berenice Owen-Jones.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull MP.

On Sunday 21 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for National Palliative Care Week 2017.

On Saturday 20 May 2017, at the Presidential Palace, Dili, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) met with the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Francisco Guterres Lύ Olo.

Afterwards, at Presidente Nicolau International Airport, Dili, the Governor-General, as guest of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, His Excellency Mr Roberto Soares, attended a farewell ceremony.

On Friday 19 May 2017, following the departure of the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) from Australia on a visit to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of Australia was signed by the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC.

Afterwards, at Presidente Nicolau International Airport, Dili, the Governor-General, as guest of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, His Excellency Mr Hernâni Coelho, attended a welcome ceremony.

On Thursday 18 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

In the evening, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, hosted a reception for the Friends of the Australian National University School of Music, in conjunction with a reception for ACT based patronages.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from John Wollaston Anglican School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House, as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Wednesday 17 May 2017, at St George's Cathedral, Perth, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Dean of Perth, The Very Reverend Richard Pengelley, toured the facilities and met with staff.

Afterwards, at Burt Memorial Hall, Perth, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director of Metzke, Mr Julian Burt, attended the Burt Memorial Hall 100th anniversary celebration.

On Tuesday 16 May 2017, at the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station, Exmouth, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Base Manager, Mr Russel Leiven, viewed the facilities and received a briefing on operations.

Afterwards, at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the District Manager of the Department of Parks and Wildlife Exmouth, Mr Arvid Hogstrom, viewed the facilities and received a brief on the local environment.

On Monday 15 May 2017, on the Ningaloo Vision Floating Production and Storage Offtake facility, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Quadrant Energy, Mr Brett Darley, viewed the facilities and met with crew members and staff.

In the evening, at the Ningaloo Centre, Exmouth, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Commissioner of Exmouth, Mr Ian Fletcher, attended a civic reception.
