On Friday 16 October 2015, in Yarraville, Melbourne, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chair, Foodbank Victoria, Ms Dorothy Coombe and CEO, Mr David McNamara, visited the Foodbank Victoria warehouse and met with staff and volunteers, in recognition of Anti-Poverty Week.

In Yarraville, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chair, Foodbank Victoria, Ms Dorothy Coombe and CEO, Mr David McNamara, visited the Foodbank Victoria warehouse and met with staff and volunteers, in recognition of Anti-Poverty Week.

Governors-General Lecture Series

At the College of Law and Justice, Victoria University, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chair, Sir Zelman Cowen Centre Advisory Board, the Honourable Nicola Roxon, attended the Governors-General Lecture Series at which the Governor-General delivered the fourth lecture of the series and, together with the Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Australia, Her Honour Chief Justice Marilyn Warren AC, launched the Courts and Tribunal Academy.

Federal Executive Council; National Emergency Medal Committee morning tea; Governors-General Lecture Series

On Thursday 15 October 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove joined members of the National Emergency Medal Committee for morning tea.

Credentials ceremonies; Lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission

On Wednesday 14 October 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Mohamed Khairat, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Sherif Hussein (First Secretary) and Mr Alhassan Soliman (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Omneya Negm.

Non-Resident Credentials

On Tuesday 13 October 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from Her Excellency Dr Batilda Burian, Letters of Credentials accrediting her as the High Commissioner for the United Republic of Tanzania.

Earlier, at Government House, Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for Carers Australia, to Launch National Carers Week.
