On Wednesday 23 September 2015, at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Director, Dr Nigel Taylor, attended an Orchid Naming Ceremony at which an orchid was named in their honour: Dendrobium Peter Lynne Cosgrove, before viewing the National Orchid Garden and Prisoner of War steps.

Singapore Zoo

At the Singapore Zoo, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Mandai Safari Parks Holdings, Mr S Dhanabalan and Acting Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Zoo, Dr Cheng Wen Haur, viewed the Koala Exhibit and met with Australian school children from Avondale Grammar School.

On Tuesday 22 September 2015, at Kranji Cemetery, Singapore, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove lay a wreath at the Kranji War Memorial, honouring the men and women who died during World War II.

Afterwards, at Sembawang Air Base, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Singapore Chief of Air Force, Major General Hoo Cher Mou, visited 126 Squadron and undertook a viewing of Singapore by helicopter.

Federal Executive Council; Ministerial Swearing-in Ceremony; Proclamation; Ceremonial Welcome; Meeting with the President of the Republic of Singapore; State Banquet

On Monday 21 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council, and signed Instruments of Appointment of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective new offices.
