On Wednesday 23 September 2015, at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Director, Dr Nigel Taylor, attended an Orchid Naming Ceremony at which an orchid was named in their honour: Dendrobium Peter Lynne Cosgrove, before viewing the National Orchid Garden and Prisoner of War steps.

At the Australian High Commission, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Australian High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Philip Green and the President, Australian Alumni Singapore, Mr Christopher Cheah, attended an alumni ‘homecoming’ reception for Singaporean graduates of Australian universities.

At the Istana, the Governor-General met with the Prime Minister, the Honourable Lee Hsien Loong.

At the Singapore Zoo, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Mandai Safari Parks Holdings, Mr S Dhanabalan and Acting Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Zoo, Dr Cheng Wen Haur, viewed the Koala Exhibit and met with Australian school children from Avondale Grammar School.

At Kranji Cemetery, Singapore, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove lay a wreath at the Kranji War Memorial, honouring the men and women who died during World War II.

On Tuesday 22 September 2015, at Kranji Cemetery, Singapore, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove lay a wreath at the Kranji War Memorial, honouring the men and women who died during World War II.

Afterwards, at Sembawang Air Base, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Singapore Chief of Air Force, Major General Hoo Cher Mou, visited 126 Squadron and undertook a viewing of Singapore by helicopter.

On Monday 21 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council, and signed Instruments of Appointment of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective new offices.

The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General issued the Oaths and Affirmations of Executive Councillor and Office to the newly appointed Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

At the Istana, Singapore, the Governor-General met with the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, and Lady Cosgrove attended a tea ceremony with Mrs Tan.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a state banquet hosted in their honour by President Tan and Mrs Tan.

On Friday 18 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia hosted investiture ceremonies.
