Kangaroo Recruitment Centenary March Re-enactment Celebrations

On Sunday 13 September 2015, at Wallendbeen, New South Wales, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman of the Wallendbeen Kangaroo March Committee, Mr David Jacobs and the President of the Kangaroo March Centenary Re-Enactment Association, Mr Graham Brown attended the Kangaroo Recruitment Centenary March Re-enactment Celebrations.

Visit to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; 28 Squadron Governor-General’s Banner Consecration Parade; Reception for the Scout National Youth Council

On Friday 11 September 2015, at the Andrew Fisher Building, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr Michael Thawley, met with Department staff.

Afterwards, at the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 28 Squadron Governor-General’s Banner Consecration Parade, at which the Governor-General was the Reviewing Officer.

National Ecumenical Service; Visit to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; Reception to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning British Monarch

On Thursday 10 September 2015, at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Manuka, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, attended a National Ecumenical Service to celebrate the length of reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner for Republic of Botswana, His Excellency, Mr Molosiwa Selepeng.

Later, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Alan Sweetman and Mr Peter Sweetman.
