On Saturday 12 September 2015, at the Commonwealth Club, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Club President, Mr David Kenyon attended the Diamond Jubilee Gala reception.

At the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 28 Squadron Governor-General’s Banner Consecration Parade, at which the Governor-General was the Reviewing Officer.

At the Andrew Fisher Building, Canberra, the Governor-General as guest of Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr Michael Thawley, met with Department staff.

On Friday 11 September 2015, at the Andrew Fisher Building, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr Michael Thawley, met with Department staff.

Afterwards, at the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 28 Squadron Governor-General’s Banner Consecration Parade, at which the Governor-General was the Reviewing Officer.

On Thursday 10 September 2015, at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Manuka, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, attended a National Ecumenical Service to celebrate the length of reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner for Republic of Botswana, His Excellency, Mr Molosiwa Selepeng.

Later, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Alan Sweetman and Mr Peter Sweetman.

At St Paul’s Anglican Church, Manuka, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attended a National Ecumenical Service to celebrate the length of reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

At Government House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning British Monarch.

At Centra Plaza, Woden, the Governor-General, as guest of, Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr Michael Thawley, and Associate Secretary, Indigenous Affairs, Mr Andrew Tongue, met with Department staff.

On Wednesday 9 September 2015, at the Trivett Showroom, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chairman of Trustees, Mr Charles Curran AC and the Chairman, Mr Richard Haddock AM, attended the St Vincent’s Curran Foundation Spring Reception.
