Sydney opening night performance of ‘Anything Goes’

On Tuesday 8 September 2015, at Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Opera Australia, Mr Craig Hassall and Executive Director, Philanthropy, Opera Australia, Ms Liz Nield, attended the Sydney opening night performance of ‘Anything Goes’.

On Monday 7 September 2015, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended the State Funeral Service for the late Mr ‘Bart’ Cummings AM.

In the evening, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General as Patron and Lady Cosgrove hosted a BBQ dinner and reception for the staff, students and supporters of the Clontarf Foundation.

On Friday 4 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Yahya Ngam, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, at which the Governor-General launched the 25th National Child Protection Week.

On Thursday 3 September 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal executive Council.

Afterwards, at the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chairman, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), attended a Ceremony to commemorate Australian National Flag Day.
