Afterwards, at the Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of by the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr Rod Smith PSM, attended a brunch and met High Commission staff and families.

On Wednesday 12 August 2015, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended a briefing by the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr Rod Smith PSM.

Afterwards, at the Australian High Commissioner’s residence, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of High Commissioner Smith attended a reception.

On Tuesday 11 August 2015, at Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended a farewell ceremony.

Afterwards, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were greeted by Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican MP; Minister-in-Waiting, Yang Berhormat Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup MP; and the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr Rod Smith PSM.

On Monday 10 August 2015, at the Sea Palace, Abu Dhabi, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) met with His Highness Sheihk Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in recognition of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

On Sunday 9 August 2015, at Ҫanakkale Airport, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Governor of Ҫanakkale, Mr Ahmet Çınar, attended a farewell ceremony.

Afterwards, at Baghdad International Airport, the Governor-General, accompanied by the Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Angus Campbell DSC AM, was greeted by the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Her Excellency Ms Lyndall Sachs PSM, and the Commander Joint Task Force 633, Rear Admiral Trevor Jones AM CSC RAN.

On Saturday 8 August 2015, in Eceabat, Turkey, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director, Dr Cafer Yilmaz, visited the Eceabat Medical Centre and viewed Australian Direct Aid Program funded medical equipment.

In Gallipoli, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, accompanied by Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Angus Campbell DSC AM, Mr Keith Payne VC AM, Corporal Mark Donaldson VC, Corporal Daniel Keighran VC and Mr Doug and Mrs Kaye Baird, parents of the late Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG, visited Hill 60 Cemetery, at which Their Excellencies laid a wreath in honour of allied soldiers who died during the Gallipoli Campaign.

In Baghdad, the Governor-General, as guest of the Commanding Officer and Regimental Sergeant Major, and accompanied by Australian Victoria Cross recipients, Mr Keith Payne VC AM, Corporal Mark Donaldson VC, Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith VC MG and Corporal Daniel Keighran VC, met with Australian Special Operations Command service personnel providing advice and assistance to the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service.
