At RAAF Base Amberley, QLD, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the arrival in Australia of the President of the United States of America, the Honourable Barack Obama.

On Saturday 15 November 2014, at RAAF Base Amberley, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the arrival in Australia of the President of the United States of America, the Honourable Barack Obama.

Afterwards, at the UQ Centre, St Lucia, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a presentation by President Barack Obama.

At Brisbane Airport, QLD, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the arrival in Australia of the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Xi Jinping, and Madame Peng Liyuan.

At the G20 Operations Centre and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane, QLD, the Governor-General met with staff and volunteers assisting with the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

At Brisbane Airport, QLD, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Mr Joko Widodo.

On Friday 14 November 2014, at Brisbane Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Mr Joko Widodo.

Afterwards, in Brisbane, the Governor-General, as guest of the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, met with staff and volunteers at the G20 Operations Centre.

At the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne, VIC, the Governor-General, as Patron, attended the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) awards ceremony and presented the Fellowship award and the 3M – ACRS Diamond Road Safety awards.

At Main Ridge, VIC, the Governor-General officially opened the Main Ridge Rural Fire Station and met with staff, volunteers, families and members of the local community.

At the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne, VIC, the Governor-General, as a guest of the Chief Executive, Mr Denis Baguley, viewed the Galleries of Remembrance, officially opened to the public on Remembrance Day 2014.
