On Tuesday 6 April 2010 at Fleet Base East, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Gloucester Cup to HMAS NEWCASTLE.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General received the Australian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva, Mr Tim Yeend.

On Thursday 1 April 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC issued the Affirmation of Office to the newly appointed Minister for Defence Personnel, the Honourable Alan Griffin MP; and Minister for Defence Materiel and Science, the Honourable Greg Combet AM MP.

In the afternoon, at Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony, at which the Governor-General officially opened the 2010 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a dinner in honour of the former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, the Honourable Michael Black AC QC.

Earlier, at the Star City Hotel, Sydney, the Governor-General attended the Committee of Economic Development of Australia's ???Women in Leadership Series 2010,' at which the Governor-General delivered the keynote address. Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General received the Founder of the Jackson West Advocacy Group, Mr Timothy West. Later, the Governor-General received Senior Vice-President, European Australian Business Council, Mr Charles Curran AC.

On Monday 29 March 2010, at the Don Geddes Catalina Memorial Aged Care Facility, Rathmines, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General presented Mr Albert Cullen with the Australian Defence Medal and the Australian Service Medal 1945-75 with South West Pacific clasp, and later joined the residents for morning tea.

On Friday 26 March 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received a farewell call from the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency Mr Ghanim T. Al-Shibli and Mrs Ahlam A Ali.

On Thursday 25 March 2010, at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director, Mr Ron Radford AM, viewed the Masterpieces from Paris exhibition.

Later, at the Old Bus Depot Markets, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, in recognition of ACT Seniors Week 2010, visited the Council on the Ageing Seniors Exposition.
