On Sunday 4 July 2010, at the Domain, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the National Reserve Forces Day parade, at which the Governor-General reviewed the parade, and Mr Bryce led the Air Force contingents.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception to mark the 10th anniversary of Australia for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

On Saturday 3 July 2010, at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General unveiled the badges of the Queensland University Regiment and Queensland University Squadron, as part of The University of Queensland’s Centenary Alumni Reunion Weekend celebrations.

Afterwards, Mr Bryce, as guest of honour, attended a lunch hosted by the President of the Queensland University Squadron, Mr Ted Vowles.

On Friday 2 July 2010, at Hammondville, NSW, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC met with Mrs Hazel Hawke.

Later, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.

On Thursday 1 July 2010, at the Peninsula, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC officially opened the Australia Unlimited 2010 Summit.

In the afternoon, at Martin Place, Sydney, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Tartan Day ceremony.

On Wednesday 30 June 2010, at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Lions Clubs International Convention, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

Afterwards, at Holsworthy Barracks, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief of the Australian Defence Force, and Mr Bryce, attended the 6th Aviation Regiment Guidon Parade, at which the Governor-General presented the Regimental Guidon to the 6th Aviation Regiment.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a dinner in recognition of the contributions made by individuals during the response and recovery efforts following some of last year’s bushfire and flood emergencies.

On Monday 28 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General administered the Affirmation of Office to the newly appointed Minister for Trade, the Honourable Stephen Smith MP; and the Oaths of Office to the newly appointed Minister for Education, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations and Minister for Social Inclusion, the Honourable Simon Crean MP; and the Minister for Sustainable Population, the Honourable Anthony Burke MP.

On Saturday 26 June 2010, at Jundah, Queensland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a Civic Reception hosted in their honour by the Mayor of Barcoo Shire Council, Councillor Bruce Scott, and together, officially opened the Barcoo Shire Administration Building.

On Friday 25 June 2010, at Windorah, Queensland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Mayor of Barcoo Shire Council, Councillor Bruce Scott, attended a lunch on the banks of Cooper Creek.

On Thursday 24 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General administered the Instrument of Appointment and Affirmation of Office to the newly appointed Prime Minister, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP.
