Afterwards, at The Richardson Hotel, the Governor-General received the Chief Executive Officer of Brightwater Care Group, Dr Penny Flett.

On Wednesday 17 March 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the recipient of the Denmark RSL Youth Achievement Award, Mr Terence Smith, who was accompanied by Ms Rowena Smith and Mr Don Smith.
