On Friday 17 April 2009 at Parliament House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the 20th Anniversary Luncheon of the Jesse Street Trust at which the Governor-General delivered an address.
Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General received the Communications & Public Relations Secretary of the Salvation Army, Major Phillip Maxwell and the Sydney Appeal Director of the Salvation Army, Major Paul Kinder.
On Thursday 9 April 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
On Tuesday 7 April 2009 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, received the Australian High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Kiribati, Mr Brett Aldam.
On Monday 6 April 2009 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Chief Commissioner, Girl Guides Australia, Ms Lynne Price and the National Executive Officer, Ms Fiona Krautil.
On Sunday 5 April 2009, at St Luke's Anglican Church, Deakin, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a service commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the laying of the Church's foundation stone, at which the Governor-General read the Lesson from the New Testament.
Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia by the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Group Captain Robert Lawson ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
On Friday 3 April 2009, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE arrived at Perth International Airport and were welcomed on their return by the Honourable Stephen Smith MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Governor-General and Mr Bryce subsequently arrived in Canberra.
On Thursday 2 April 2009, in Broken Hill, New South Wales, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended a Civic Reception hosted in their honour at the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery. Later, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas, as Joint Patrons, attended a dinner in support of The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South East Section) at the Broken Earth Restaurant.
On Wednesday 1 April 2009, at the Sydney Trades Hall, Sydney, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended the State Memorial Service for the late Mr Laurence Elwyn Short AO.
On Tuesday 31 March 2009, at the National Maritime Museum, Sydney, the Administrator Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO officiated at the Housing NSW 2009 Youth Achievement Awards.
