On Monday, 10 September 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a reception at which the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, presented the 2007 Churchill Fellows Awards.

On Friday, 7 September 2007, at Admiralty House, Sydney, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General was invested with an Honorary Grand Companion of the Order of the Logohu by the Right Honourable Grand Chief Sir Michael T. Somare GCL GCMG CH CF KStJ, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

On Thursday, 6 September 2007, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Tuesday, 4 September 2007, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, ACT, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Ceremonial Arrival of the President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Hu Jintao.

On Monday, 3 September 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Sunday, 2 September 2007, the Governor-General returned to Government House, Canberra, at the completion of his official visit to Malaysia.

On Saturday, 1 September 2007, at Restaurant Two Brisbane, the Administrator, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM, as guests of the WANTZ Committee, attended the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland Fundraising Dinner.

At the Australian Residence, Kuala Lumpur, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as the guest of honour, attended a luncheon hosted by Australian High Commissioner in Malaysia, Her Excellency Ms Penny Williams.
