On Tuesday, 28 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Dr Michele Forster.

On Sunday 26 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery, as Patron of the Klavier Music Association, hosted a Musical Afternoon.

On Thursday, 23 August 2007, at Royal Canberra Golf Club Yarralumla ACT, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Sporting Heads of Mission Golf Day.

On Wednesday, 22 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery received a farewell call by the High Commissioner for the Republic of Cyprus, His Excellency Mr Achilleas Antoniades and Mrs Polyxeni Antoniades.

On Tuesday, 21 August 2007, at AGQUIP Headquarters, Gunnedah, NSW, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the annual drumMUSTER, at which the Governor-General presented an award to the farmer who returned the 10 millionth drum, Mr John Powell.

On Saturday, 18 August 2007, at the Australian Vietnam Forces Memorial, ANZAC Parade, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Vietnam Veterans' Remembrance Day Memorial Service, at which the Governor-General delivered the keynote address.

On Friday, 17 August 2007, at Yarralumla ACT, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended Yarralumla Primary School's 50th Birthday Assembly, at which the Governor-General addressed the students, teachers and guests.

On Thursday, 16 August 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received from Her Excellency Mrs Susanne Wagner Hoffmann Shine, Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Jorgen Mollegaard (Consul-General) and Mrs Helle Myrthue (Consul), Royal Danish Consulate-General, Sydney. The Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery also received Mr Tony Shine.
