Later, at Sydney Harbour, Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guest of honour of the wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, Mrs Loreto Balmaceda, attended a luncheon aboard the tall ship Esmeralda.

On Tuesday, 19 June 2007, at Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery: toured the Dugong Beach Resort development; met members of the Anindilyakwa Land Council, Angurugu Community Government Council and Umbakumba Council; and afterwards, attended a community reception hosted by GEMCO at Alyangula Golf Club.

On Monday, 18 June 2007, at the commencement of an official visit to Galiwinku, Northern Territory, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a Traditional Welcome Ceremony (Yukulul) performed by members of the Mallarra Clan, Ngaymil Clan and Liya-Guwurrmirr Clan, and afterwards met local school children, NORFORCE soldiers, Sea Rangers and Night Patrol members.

On Saturday 16 June 2007, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery commenced an official visit to Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory. Their Excellencies, as guests of the Park Management and the traditional owners, received regional environmental management briefings at: the Bowali Visitors Centre, meeting Mirrar elders; and the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, meeting the Murrumburr elders.

On Friday 15 June 2007, at Darwin, Northern Territory, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as a guest of Mr Stuart Kenny, Executive Director, NT Cattlemen's Association, and Mr Robert Ritchie, Chief Executive Officer, Port of Darwin Authority, toured the live cattle export industry facilities at the Port of Darwin.
