Australian Operational Service Medal

The Australian Operational Service Medal was established for the purpose of according recognition to those who render service in certain Australian Defence Force operations.

The Australian Operational Service Medal was instituted to recognise Australian Defence Force and certain Australian civilians in specified military operations.

The Australian Operational Service Medal is awarded with a unique ribbon for each operation; Border Protection, Greater Middle East Operation and Special Operations. A civilian ribbon is awarded with the medal for civilian recipients.
