Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Jeanne Guehe, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.
On Wednesday 30 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a pre-interview dinner for Rhodes Australia-at-Large candidates.
Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Cleve Area School, SA; Sutherland Dianella Primary School, WA; Lenswood Primary School, SA; and Portland North Primary School, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Friday 25 November 2016, at HMAS Cerberus, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Commander Luke Ryan RAN, received a briefing on Recruit School operations, viewed the facilities and met with staff.
Afterwards, at the School of Survivability and Ships Safety, HMAS Cerberus, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove viewed a demonstration of a Recruit School class.

Afterwards the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Croatia, Ms Elizabeth Petrovic.
