On Friday 2 December 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted the Governor-General’s Sports Fun Day for students of primary schools in the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region.

On Thursday 1 December 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Jeanne Guehe, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

On Wednesday 30 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a pre-interview dinner for Rhodes Australia-at-Large candidates.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Cleve Area School, SA; Sutherland Dianella Primary School, WA; Lenswood Primary School, SA; and Portland North Primary School, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday 29 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the Friends of the Australian National University School of Music, in conjunction with a reception for Friends of Government House.

On Monday 28 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General received the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, The Honourable Dan Tehan MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Bruce Gosper.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr Brian Pontifex.

On Sunday 27 November 2016, at Our Lady Guardian of Plants Chaldean Catholic Church, Campbellfield, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Parish Priest of Saint George Chaldean Church, Father Maher Gurges, attended a mass service.

On Saturday 26 November 2016, at Puckapunyal Military Area, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove attended the 4th/19th Prince of Wales Light Horse Regiment Guidon Parade, at which the Governor-General presented the new 4th/19th Prince of Wales Light Horse Regiment Guidon.

On Friday 25 November 2016, at HMAS Cerberus, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Commander Luke Ryan RAN, received a briefing on Recruit School operations, viewed the facilities and met with staff.

Afterwards, at the School of Survivability and Ships Safety, HMAS Cerberus, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove viewed a demonstration of a Recruit School class.

On Thursday 24 November 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Croatia, Ms Elizabeth Petrovic.

Later, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Vanuata, Ms Jenny Da Rin.
