On Thursday 25 June 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Parliament House, the Governor-General as Patron of SchoolAid, and Lady Cosgrove attended the launch of KidsGive #That’sNotFair campaign.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove hosted a Meritorious Unit Citation Investiture Ceremony for Task Force 66 and 1st Joint Movement Group.

On Wednesday 24 June 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Yogesh Punja, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Fiji. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Deemant Lodhia (First Secretary) and Mr Jonetani Tagivetaua (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Adi Melika Punja.

Australian Customs and Border Protection Service National Operational Training Centre; Royal Australian Navy Gloucester Cup presentation

On Friday 19 June 2015, at Neutral Bay, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Deputy Secretary Immigration Status Resolution, Department of Immigration and Border Protection, Ms Cindy Briscoe, visited the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service National Operational Training Centre.

Afterwards, at Fleet Base East, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, awarded the Gloucester Cup to the Commanding Officer, Captain Justin Jones RAN on behalf of the Ship’s Company, HMAS Success.

Australian Catholic University History Showcase Launch, Anniversary Book Launch and Portrait Unveiling

The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chancellor, the Honourable John Fahey AC, attended the History Showcase Launch, Anniversary Book Launch and Portrait Unveiling, at which the Governor-General launched Dr John Hirst’s book, ‘Australia’s Catholic University: The First Twenty-Five Years’.
