Australian War Memorial and Department of Veterans’ Affairs morning tea; 2015 Rotary Adventure in Citizenship Visit

On Friday 15 May 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea to thank Australian War Memorial and Department of Veterans’ Affairs staff involved in ANZAC Day Centenary commemorations.

Later, the Governor-General met with delegates of the 2015 Rotary Adventure in Citizenship program.

On Thursday 14 May 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Coach of the Westfield Matildas, Mr Alen Stajcic.

Later, the Governor-General received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Paris, Mr Brian Ponitfex.

On Wednesday 13 May 2015, at Government House, Yarralumla, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Joel Sibusiso Ndebele, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for South Africa. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Ray Sithole (Counsellor), Mr Mandla Nkabeni (Third Secretary) and Ms Salamina Ngwenya (Third Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Zama Ndebele.
