On Friday 29 May 2015, at Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove accompanied Their Excellencies Lieutenant General the Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae, Governor-General of New Zealand, and Lady Janine Mateparae to view Sydney Harbour on board the Royal Australian Navy Launch ‘Admiral Hudson’.

At Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove hosted the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust scholarship presentation ceremony.

On Wednesday 27 May 2015, at the Henry Parkes Centre, Parkes, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Mayor Parkes Shire Council, Councillor Ken Keith OAM, opened the Moat Cottage to commemorate 200 years since the birth of Sir Henry Parkes.

Afterwards, at Parkes Library and Cultural Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of Councillor Keith, attended a civic lunch reception where the Governor-General met community members and launched the ‘Welcome to Parkes’ book by Mr Lex and Mrs June Weaver.
