Reception for Heads of Mission; New Colombo Plan scholarship presentation dinner

On Wednesday 25 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the

High Commissioner to New Zealand, Mr Michael Potts.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a lunch reception for Heads of Mission of the Canberra Diplomatic Corps.

In the evening, in Barton, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Julie Bishop MP, attended the New Colombo Plan scholarship presentation dinner.

Visit to Kununurra

On Tuesday 24 June 2014, at Kununurra District High School, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of the Clontarf Foundation, and Lady Cosgrove, viewed a training session at the East Kimberley Clontarf Academy, and as guests of the Academy Director, Mr Andrew McDonagh, attended a breakfast with students.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Nick Thomas, visited the Wunan Foundation and received a Transitional Housing brief from Ms Cherie McAdam and Ms Michelle Brett.

Visit to Kununurra and Wyndham

On Monday 23 June 2014, at Emma Gorge, El Questro Wilderness Park, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the General Manager, Ms Lori Litwack, attended a breakfast and met with staff.

Afterwards, in Wyndham, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ken Riddiford, visited the Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation.

Visit to Kununurra

On Sunday 22 June 2014, in Kununurra, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove attend a service at St James Anglican Church.

Afterwards, at Celebrity Tree Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove planted a commemorative tree at a community morning tea hosted in their honour by the Shire President, Wyndham-East Kimberley Shire, Councillor John Moulden.
