At Parliament House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a First Voice Power of Speech event, held during Hearing Awareness Week, at which the Governor-General presented awards to 12 participants, aged six to 11, who are some of the beneficiaries of First Voice, an alliance of six world-leading centres across Australia and New Zealand that provide support for children with hearing loss.
