On Monday 26 May 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Governor-General of Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Sunday 25 May 2014, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Baron Divavesi Waqa MP and Madam Louisa Waqa, by Brigadier Gregory Bilton CSC ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Friday 23 May 2014, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) was represented at the transit through Australia by the Governor-General of New Zealand, His Excellency Lieutenant General the Right Honourable Sir Jeremiah Mateparae GNZM QSO, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

At the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Football Federation Australia, Frank Lowy AC, attended a farewell dinner for the Socceroos prior to their departure for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

At Knox Grammar School, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the Spirit of Australia Foundation, Wesley Browne OAM, attended the General Sir John Monash Commemorative Service, at which the Governor-General, as Patron of the Foundation, delivered the keynote speech.

On Thursday 22 May 2014, at Knox Grammar School, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the Spirit of Australia Foundation, Mr Wesley Browne OAM, attended the General Sir John Monash commemorative service at which the Governor-General, as Patron, delivered the keynote speech.

At St. Bede's Primary School, Red Hill, Canberra, Lady Cosgrove, as a guest of the Principal, Ms Cherie Kelly, participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime initiative, reading this year’s book, “Too many elephants in this house” to Kindergarten students before joining teachers and staff for morning tea.

On Wednesday 21 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC, Senator the Honourable Michael Ronaldson; Secretary, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Mr Simon Lewis PSM; Assistant Secretary, Commemorations, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Mr Tim Evans; and Advisor to Senator Ronaldson, Mr Robert Hardie.
