On Monday 16 June 2014, at the Convention Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the President of the Australian Local Government Association, Dr Felicity-Ann Lewis, addressed the National General Assembly.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Philip Green OAM.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove formally welcomed the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam and Mrs Mary Tan in a ceremony, before holding discussions and hosting a State Lunch in their honour.

On Sunday 15 June 2014, at the Royal Canberra Golf Club, Yarralumla, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Podmore Foundation, Associate Professor Bob Breen, attended a lunch at which the Governor-General presented the annual Podmore scholarships.

On Saturday 14 June 2014, at the RACV Club, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for members of Melbourne based patronages. At the Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) Compass Clubhouse in Fitzroy, operated by and for adults who have experienced an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with members and staff, as guests of the MCM CEO, Reverend Ric Holland.

At the Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) Stopover Youth Refuge in Fitzroy, as guests of the MCM CEO, Reverend Ric Holland, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with young people in supported short-term crisis accommodation.

At Harnett House in Brunswick, as guests of the Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) CEO, Reverend Ric Holland, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with participants in MCM's T.I.M.E Out Sibling Program for 8-13 year olds and adolescents who have a sibling with a disability.

On Friday 13 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove hosted to lunch the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency Mr Pedro Villagra Delgado; Deputy Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and High Commissioner for the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Mr Charles Lepani and Mrs Katherine Lepani; and Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ms Sally Mansfield.

On Thursday 12 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs AO CSC RAN.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General was invested as the Chief Scout of Australia.
