Marymount Primary School; 10th Anniversary of Ninti One; Timber Creek Primary School

On Thursday 8 August 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, met with students from Marymount Primary School.

Afterwards, at the National Portrait Gallery, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of Ninti One, Dr Tom Calma AO, and the Managing Director, Ms Jan Ferguson, delivered an address at a reception to mark the 10th anniversary of Ninti One.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General met with the Principal of Timber Creek Primary School, Mrs Jedda Trueman, and accompanying students and staff.

On Tuesday 6 August 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO received a farewell call from the Ambassador of the European Union, His Excellency Mr David Daly.

Afterwards, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and guest of the Chair of the Council, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Ret’d) laid a wreath at the Last Post ceremony.

Later, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended the official launch of the ‘Afghanistan: The Australian Story’ exhibition.

The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the official launch of the ‘Afghanistan: The Australian Story’ exhibition at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and guest of the Chair of the Council, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Ret’d) laid a wreath during the Last Post ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.

On Monday 5 August 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Parliament House, Canberra, the Official Secretary to the Governor-General, Mr Stephen Brady CVO, read the Governor-General’s proclamation to prorogue the Parliament and to dissolve the House of Representatives.
