The Governor-General hosted a morning tea for participants of the 21st annual Australian American Leadership Dialogue at Admiralty House, Sydney.

At Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General met students and teachers from Maroubra Junction Primary School.

On Saturday 10 August 2013, at the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland Showgrounds, Brisbane, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, hosted a lunch to acknowledge the contribution that women from the country and the city make to the community, and to promote further linkages between metropolitan and rural Queensland.

At the Fireworks Gallery, Newstead, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director, Mr Michael Eather, and Mrs Danica Eather, officially launched the auction for the ‘Table of Love.’

On Friday 9 August 2013, at the Royal Military College, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron and guest of the Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Waverley Stanley, in recognition of International Day of the World’s Indigenous People, attended the 2013 Yalari Graduation Ceremony and presented certificates to graduating students.

The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guest of the Vice-Chancellor of the Queensland University of Technology, Professor Peter Coaldrake AO, visited the Cube at the QUT and met with software developers.

At the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland Showgrounds, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Honorary Life Members, attended the official opening and dinner of the 2013 Royal Queensland Show, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

On Thursday 8 August 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, met with students from Marymount Primary School.

Afterwards, at the National Portrait Gallery, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of Ninti One, Dr Tom Calma AO, and the Managing Director, Ms Jan Ferguson, delivered an address at a reception to mark the 10th anniversary of Ninti One.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General met with the Principal of Timber Creek Primary School, Mrs Jedda Trueman, and accompanying students and staff.

The Governor-General took time out of her busy schedule to meet students from Marymount Primary School during their tour of Government House, Canberra.
