On Tuesday 27 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Dr Christoph Müller, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Matthias Sonn (Minister) and Lieutenant Colonel Bernd Pfaffenbach (Defence Attaché).

On Monday 26 September 2011, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival to Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Captain Jay Bannister ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Sunday 25 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC met with visitors at the Government House Australiana Fund Open Day.

On Friday 23 September 2011, at St John's Anglican Cathedral, Brisbane, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC was represented at the State Funeral Service for the Honourable David Francis Jull, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Monday 19 September 2011, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, was represented at the departure from Australia of the Governor-General of the Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui CSI CMG OBE, by Group Captain Guy Burton ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Sunday 18 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a Musical Evening for the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.

On Saturday 17 September 2011, at the National Portrait Gallery, Parkes, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended an event at which the Governor-General officially launched Dr Natasha Cica’s book, ‘Pedder Dreaming: Olegas Truchanas and a Lost Tasmanian Wilderness’.

On Friday 16 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from Campbell Primary School; the Principal, Mrs Kathy Kiting; Parent Coordinator, Mrs Karen De Boos and students; Miss Bonnie Lawrence, Master Matthew Pickett, Master Peter Andriopoulos, Miss Elisabeth Dykstra, Master Jim Kretschmer, Miss Indica Mullins, Master Jasper Leckie, Miss Maitha Al-Abdouli and Master Elliott Newton.

On Thursday 15 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, received the Ambassador of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr Michel Filhol, and Mrs Catherine Filhol.

Earlier, at the Australian War Memorial, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron of the Royal Australian Air Force Association, attended the 2011 Annual Battle of Britain Commemorative Ceremony.

On Wednesday 14 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at the Royal Australian Navy Heritage Centre, Garden Island, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the President of AE1 Incorporated, Dr Michael White QC, attended a ceremony to commemorate the loss of AE1 on 14 September 1914, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, unveiled the AE1 Memorial Plaque, delivered an address and laid a wreath.
