On Tuesday 28 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, received a farewell call from the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Mr Ernesto Hernandez De Leon.

Later, at Parliament House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the First Session of the Forty-Third Commonwealth Parliament, at which the Governor-General addressed the parliament.

Afterwards, at the Royal Canberra Golf Club, Yarralumla, Mr Bryce addressed the ACT Branch of the Order of Australia Association.

On Thursday 23 September 2010, at the Canberra Institute of Technology, Reid, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, attended the Defence Force Widows’ Support Group annual lunch.

Afterwards, at the Gallery of Australian Design, Barton, Mr Bryce, as Patron, attended a reception hosted by the Governing Council of the Gallery of Australian Design.

On Wednesday 22 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, received the National President of the Defence Force Welfare Association, Mr David Jamieson, and the Executive Director, Mr Les Bienkiewicz.

On Tuesday 21 September 2010, at RAAF Wagga, NSW, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Commander-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Commanding Officer, Captain Robert Rogers CSM, toured RAAF Wagga and had lunch with airmen and women from Number 1 Recruit Training Unit.

Afterwards, at Henty, NSW, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chairman, Mr Doug Meyer OAM, attended the 2010 Henty Machinery Field Days at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

On Monday 20 September 2010, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Aged and Community Services Australia 2010 Conference at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

On Sunday 19 September 2010, at St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia, the Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall, attended the Opening Eucharist of the General Synod.

On Saturday 18 September 2010, at Sawmillers Reserve, McMahons Point, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General opened the Sculpture at Sawmillers exhibition.

In the evening, at the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chief Executive of Opera Australia, Mr Adrian Collette AM, attended the opening night performance of Opera Australia’s Rigoletto.

On Friday 17 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General conducted, an investiture ceremony.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Board Member of Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Ms Elizabeth Jameson.

On Thursday 16 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General conducted, an investiture ceremony.

In the evening, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Mother of the King of the Kingdom of Tonga, Her Majesty Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Wednesday 15 September 2010, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guest of the Chairman of the ACT and Region Battle of Britain Commemoration Sub-Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Paddy Mahony (Retd), attended a service in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
