On Monday 4 December 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for Australian Defence Force Academy and Royal Military College – Duntroon graduands and the Spitfire Association, at which the Governor-General presented the 2018 Spitfire Memorial Fellowship.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Loxton District School, SA; and Mount Barker High School, SA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Friday 1 December 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of Assistance Dogs Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, presented Assistance Dog, Cosgrove (Cossie) to client, Ms Sarah Jane Staszak.

Afterwards, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, hosted a Girl’s Brigade Australia Queen’s Award presentation.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Valentine Public School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Thursday 30 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Hellenic Republic of Greece, Ms Kate Logan.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to Kuwait, Mr Jonathan Gilbert.

In the afternoon the Governor-General received the Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr Craig Chittick OAM.

On Wednesday 29 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of Scout’s Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted the 2017 Queen’s Scout and Baden Powell Scout Awards.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Bletchley Park Primary School, WA; Manjimup Senior High School, WA; and Phoenix Community College, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday 28 November 2017, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest speaker, and Lady Cosgrove attended Melbourne High School’s Speech Night.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Woodcrest State College, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Monday 27 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces of Ireland, Vice Admiral Mark Mellett and Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin AC.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a pre-interview dinner for Rhodes Australia-at-large candidates.

On Sunday 26 November 2017, at The Australian Golf Club, Rosebery, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of the Australian Golf Club, and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Steven Shearer, presented the Stonehaven Cup to the 2017 Emirates Australian Golf Open Champion, Mr Cameron Davis.

On Friday 24 November 2017, at Jeannie’s, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the Women’s and Girls Emergency Centre, Mrs Helen Silvia, viewed the facilities and met with staff and residents.

Afterwards, at Lakemba, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of NSW Police Officer, Detective Acting Inspector Anthony Johnson, attended the Canterbury Bankstown City Council fifth annual White Ribbon march from Lakemba to Punchbowl.

On Thursday 23 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from Her Excellency Ms Sudha Devi K R Vasudevan, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner to Malaysia. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Zamani Ismail (Deputy High Commissioner), Mr Ahmad Asmadi Bin Abd Hashim (Counsellor) and Mr Khairul Hezry Arifin (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mr Anantha Raja Thamboo.

On Wednesday 22 November 2017, at the Youth Connections centre, Kariong, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Claudia Devlin, viewed the facilities and met with staff and youth.

Afterwards, at Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of Surf Life Saving Australia, Mr Graham Ford AM, presented Bronze Medallions to women who patrolled the Terrigal beaches during World War Two.
