On Saturday 2 April 2016, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove attended the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police Centenary Parade, at which the Governor-General reviewed the parade and delivered the Commemorative Address.

In the evening, at GIO stadium, Bruce, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, Brumbies Rugby Union, Mr Michael Jones, attended the Aquis Brumbies versus Chiefs Super Rugby match.

Sydney Royal Easter Show

On Monday 28 March 2016, at the Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, Mr Robert Ryan OAM, attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show, viewed the exhibition pavilions and presented the inaugural Canine Hero Awards.

100th Anniversary of the Sydney Flying Squadron Honor Roll

On Sunday 27 March 2016, at the Sydney Flying Squadron, Kirribilli, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Mr John Winning AM, attended the 100th Anniversary of the Sydney Flying Squadron Honor Roll, at which the Governor-General launched the book ‘Setting Sail for the Great War’.

Visit to the Belgian Embassy; Confederation of Australian Sport reception

On Wednesday 23 March 2016, at the Belgian Embassy, Yarralumla, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Ambassador of Belgium, His Excellency Mr Jean-Luc Bodson, signed a condolence book and laid a floral tribute in sympathy for those affected by the terrorist attacks in Brussels on 22 March 2016.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the Confederation of Australian Sport.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an investiture ceremony, at which the Governor-General invested Mr Paul Singer MVO with the insignia of the Member of the Royal Victorian Order.
