On Monday 7 December 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Mykola Kulinich, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Ukraine. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Mykola Dzhydzhora (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Olena Kulinich.

On Saturday 5 December 2015, at The Great Synagogue, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, The Great Synagogue, the Honourable Justice Stephen Rothman AM, attended a Shacharit worship service.

At Fleet Base East, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Commander Australian Fleet, RADM Stuart Mayer CSC and Bar RAN, attended the HMAS Adelaide Commissioning ceremony and reception.

On Friday 4 December 2015, at Fleet Base East, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Commander Australian Fleet, RADM Stuart Mayer CSC and Bar RAN, attended the HMAS Adelaide Commissioning ceremony and reception.

At Government House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a Christmas Sports Fun Day for students of Primary Schools in the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region.

On Thursday 3 December 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Secretary of the Department of Education and Training, Ms Lisa Paul AO PSM.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a Christmas Sports Fun Day for students of Primary Schools in the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Dr Martin Parkinson PSM.

At the National Museum of Australia, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Chair of the Council, Mr David Jones, opened the ‘Encounters’ and ‘Unsettled’ exhibitions.

On Wednesday 2 December 2015, at the Ben Chifley Building, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Director-General of Security, Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC, visited the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, at which he viewed facilities and met with staff.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Darko Uskokovic, Letters of Credentials accrediting him as the Ambassador of Montenegro.

At the Ben Chifley Building, Canberra, the Governor-General, as guest of the Director-General of Security, Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC, visited the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, at which he viewed facilities and met with staff.

On Tuesday 1 December 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea for the 2015 Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Graduates and Indigenous Australian Government Development Program Trainees.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Mr Peter Doyle.
