At Harnett House in Brunswick, as guests of the Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) CEO, Reverend Ric Holland, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with participants in MCM's T.I.M.E Out Sibling Program for 8-13 year olds and adolescents who have a sibling with a disability.

Lunch with the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps

On Friday 13 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove hosted to lunch the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency Mr Pedro Villagra Delgado; Deputy Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and High Commissioner for the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Mr Charles Lepani and Mrs Katherine Lepani; and Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ms Sally Mansfield.

Federal Executive Council; Chief Scout of Australia Investiture; Dinner to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday

On Thursday 12 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs AO CSC RAN.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General was invested as the Chief Scout of Australia.

2015 Australian of the Year Awards Call for Nominations; Kensington Public School visit; Salvation Army Headquarters visit

On Wednesday 11 June 2014, at Darling Park Town, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Chair of the National Australia Day Council, Mr Adam Gilchrist AM, launched the call for nominations for the 2015 Australian of the Year Awards.

Afterwards, at Kensington Public School, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Mr Maurice Johnson, visited the Confucius Classroom and met with teachers and students.

Legacy meeting; High Court Dinner

On Tuesday 10 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, received the National President, Australian Institute of International Affairs, Mr John McCarthy AO; and the National Executive Director, Ms Melissa Conley Tyler.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Staff Officer VIP Operations, 34 Squadron, Wing Commander Steve Parsons.

Later, in Deakin, Canberra, the Governor-General, as Patron, attended the Canberra Legacy monthly meeting.
