On Thursday 5 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, received the Chair of the Council of the Order of Australia, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC AFC (Retd).

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chief Executive Officer of Care Australia, Dr Julia Newton-Howes AM.

Port Lincoln visit

On Tuesday 3 June 2014, in Port Lincoln, South Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, in recognition of the National Reconciliation Week, attended a morning tea with staff at the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community Centre and Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, accompanied by the Mayor of Port Lincoln City Council, Councillor Bruce Green, visited the marina and fisheries precinct.

Adelaide visit

On Monday 2 June 2014, at Government House, Adelaide, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Speaker of the South Australian House of Assembly, the Honourable Michael Atkinson MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the South Australian Leader of the Opposition, Mr Steven Marshall MP.

Visit to TPI House

At TPI House, Adelaide, the Governor-General, as Patron of the Australian Federation of Totally and Permanently Incapacitated Ex-servicemen and Women (TPI), visited the TPI South Australia branch, as guest of the branch President, Mr Tony Mogridge.

Bomber Command Commemorative Day Ceremony; Adelaide visit

On Sunday 1 June 2014, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended a wreath laying ceremony to commemorate those who served in Bomber Command.

In the evening, at Government House, Adelaide, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a dinner hosted by the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, and Mrs Liz Scarce.

Super Rugby match

On Saturday 31 May 2014, at GIO Stadium, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of the ACT Brumbies, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the Super Rugby match between the ACT Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels.
