Service of Choral Matins for the Diamond Jubilee of the Coronation of Her Majesty The Queen; European Australian Business Council Mission to Europe

On Sunday 2 June 2013, at the Parish Church of St James, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, accompanied by Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE, attended a Service of Choral Matins on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On Saturday 1 June 2013, at the Hartley Historic Site, Hartley, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, officially opened the Kew-Y-Ahn Bell Rock Heritage Trail and Gallery as part of community events celebrating the first European crossing of the Blue Mountains in 1813.

On Friday 31 May 2013, at the ANZAC Memorial, Hyde Park Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, delivered an address and laid a wreath at the 7th Indigenous Veterans’ Commemoration Service.

In the evening, at the Holme Building, University of Sydney, the Administrator delivered an address on behalf of Palliative Care New South Wales at the Palliative Care NSW Awards 2013.

On Thursday 30 May 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at the Australian War Memorial, as guest of the Chairman, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Ret'd), and the Director, the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson, the Administrator viewed the exhibition "Remember Me: The Lost Diggers of Vignacourt”, curated by Dr Janda Gooding.

Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; Visit by secondary school students; Reception for Mr Peter Basset; Book launch; Reception for World MS Day

On Wednesday 29 May 2013, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO departed Australia to lead the 7th European Australian Business Council Mission to Europe.

As a result of the Governor-General’s departure, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.

Afterwards, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator hosted a visit by School Captains and Vice-Captains from 32 government secondary schools.
