Australian Institute of Police Management; Visit to the Manly Women’s Shelter

On Tuesday 2 July 2013, in Manly, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Federal Police, Mr Andrew Wood, officially opened the redeveloped Australian Institute of Police Management.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of Women’s Community Shelters, Ms Gina Anderson, and the Shelter President, Ms Ellie Hunt, met with residents and staff at the Manly Women’s Shelter.

On Monday 1 July 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Kevin Rudd MP.

Afterwards, the Governor-General issued the Instruments of Appointment of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective new offices.

Reception for the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps and the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps

On Saturday 29 June 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Commander-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a reception for the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps and the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps to mark their 110th Birthday.

Afterwards, the Governor-General issued the Instruments of Appointment and Affirmations of Office to the newly appointed Minister for Infrastructure and Transport and Minister for Regional Australia and Local Government, the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP; and Treasurer, the Honourable Mr Chris Bowen MP.
