On Saturday 22 July 2017, at Government House, Brisbane, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove met with the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey.

Hervey Bay, QLD; Brisbane, QLD

On Friday 21 July 2017, at the Hervey Bay Men’s Shed, Nikenbah the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Mr Ian Fletcher-Jones, officially opened the Hervey Bay Men’s Shed facility.

Afterwards, at the Hervey Bay Boat Club, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the General Manager, Fraser Coast Tourism and Events, Mr Martin Simons, viewed the tourism boat fleet and met with staff and volunteers of the Fraser Coast Tourism sector.

Maryborough QLD; Bundaberg, QLD

On Thursday 20 July 2017, at the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre, Maryborough, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the Fraser Coast Regional Council, Councillor Chris Loft, attended a civic reception.

Afterwards, at Queens Park, Maryborough, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of the Maryborough Returned and Services League, Mr Jason Scanes, visited the Duncan Chapman Memorial Project.

On Wednesday 19 July 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from St Peters Lutheran College, QLD, and St Peter Chanel School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday 18 July 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Cheikh Niang, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as the Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an investiture ceremony at which the Governor-General invested the Right Honourable Sir John Key AC GNZM with the insignia of the Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia.

On Monday 17 July 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Mauritius, Ms Jenny Dee.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Esperance Anglican Community School, WA; Calvary Christian College, QLD; Northampton District High School, WA; and Roma State College, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Thursday 13 July 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Turkey, Mr Marc Innes-Brown PSM.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner for members of the Molonglo Cricket Club.
