Keep Australia Beautiful ACT Sustainable Cities Awards and morning tea; Investiture Ceremony

On Wednesday 26 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) as Patron of Keep Australia Beautiful and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea and presentation ceremony for the ACT Sustainable Cities Awards.

Later, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony, at which the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested Mr Yorihiko Kojima AC with the insignia of the Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia.

At Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, as Patron of Keep Australia Beautiful and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea and presentation ceremony for the ACT Sustainable Cities Awards.

Later, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony, at which the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested Mr Yorihiko Kojima AC with the insignia of the Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia.

14th Annual RSL and Services Clubs Conference; Wattle Day Association afternoon tea

On Tuesday 25 August 2015, at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Chairman, RSL and Services Clubs Association, Mr Bryn Miller, attended the 14th Annual Conference and delivered the Opening Address.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for Aranda Primary School students in recognition of National Wattle Day, at which the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were presented with a basket of wattle.

On Monday 24 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Chairman, Council for the Order of Australia, Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK AFC (Retd).

Later, the Governor-General received the Executive Director, Australian Civil-Military Centre, Dr Alan Ryan, Senior Policy Analyst, RAND Corporation, Dr John Gordon IV and Associate Policy Analyst, RAND Corporation, Mr Jason Campbell.

Hear and Say Brisbane Centre visit; United Nations Association of Australia reception

On Friday 21 August 2015, in Ashgrove, Brisbane, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron-in-Chief and guest of the Founder and Executive Director, Dr Dimity Dornan AO, visited the Hear and Say Brisbane Centre.

Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, as Patron and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for delegates of the United Nations Association of Australia 2015 Conference.

Federal Executive Council; Group Training Australia afternoon tea; United Service Club Queensland dinner

On Thursday 20 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea to launch Group Training Australia’s 2015 program.

In the evening, at the United Service Club Queensland, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Brigadier Ray McNab CSC RFD (Retd), attended a dinner held in the their honour.

On Wednesday 19 August 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr George Kanyamula Zulu, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Zambia. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Morgan Mwesa (First Secretary), Mr Alick Banda (First Secretary) and Mr Godfrey Mulungushi (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Alice Zulu.
