Alisa La Pila APM
Detective Chief Inspector Alisa La Pila has been awarded the Australian Police Medal (APM) as part of the Australia Day 2026 Honours List.
Detective Chief Inspector La Pila has dedicated 30 years to the Queensland Police Service, leading complex operations in areas such as child protection, organised crime, and internal investigations.
When asked what the APM means to her, Detective Chief Inspector La Pila responded:
“Receiving this recognition is such an honour and very humbling. Policing is challenging work and to receive recognition at this level is difficult to put into words. It represents the sacrifices, resilience, and commitment shared by my colleagues and my family who have supported me. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve my community, in particular, protecting those vulnerable members of our society.”
