Her commitment to service has been driven by a deep sense of responsibility to educate, uplift and empower young people and the wider community.
“My greatest fulfilment comes from witnessing young people and communities grow in confidence, purpose and character, and from seeing the tangible impact of meaningful engagement — academically, emotionally, spiritually and socially,” she says.
Ms Sertel's recognition is not only a celebration of individual achievement, but also of the many communities, mentors, colleagues and families who have contributed to and supported her journey of service.
